Ivana Trump Says Donald Trump Wasn't Interested In Their Kids And She Singlehandedly Raised Them

We may be used to seeing Donald Trump kissing babies at campaign stops, but he’s not interested in raising them.His first wife,now ex, Ivana Trump made the revelation to guests at the Lifeline benefit at Le Cirque on Wednesday. According to the New York Daily News, the topic came up when partygoers complimented the first of three Mrs. Trumps on how poised her kids — Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr. — have appeared while supporting their father’s presidential campaign.

She said

“I brought up the children singlehandedly,”“Donald wasn’t really interested in the children until he could talk business with them,” the 67-year-old socialite told our insider. “When they turned 21, I handed them over to him and said ‘Here’s the finished product, you can take them from here.’ ”.

 

Though Ivana had one husband before The Donald and two more after, she still uses the famous Trump surname. Ivana says she speaks to her ex frequently and has even offered him campaign advice.

Ivana has been vocal in her support of The Donald, to whom she was married from 1977 to 1992. She’s even claimed she was the first to urge Trump to run for office in the ’80s, but the idea took time to marinate. Now, Ivana is telling friends that if Donald wins the presidency, she’s glad she won’t be moving to D.C. with him.

“I’m happy I’m not going to the White House — Washington freaks me out,” she told our source.“I can do the speeches, I can kiss the babies, I can do the charities,” Ivana said, adding that she can also do those things here in New York. That was evidenced by her appearance at Wednesday’s event, which raised money to combat pediatric cancer. She isn’t so confident that Melania Trump will be happy doing those things as First Lady.

Ivana said that ‘Melania can’t talk’ and doesn’t get the impression that Melania is ‘interested,’ ” according to our source. But still, Ivana thinks The Donald will be a great President.
