Algeria Lands In Uyo With Own Food, Water

The Fennecs Foxes of Algeria arrived Uyo on Thursday evening with a 61-man delegation aboard a chartered flight with their own bed sheets, pillows, packs of bottle water and other personal effects in preparation for today’s match.

The Algerians were expected to have their official training on the pitch of Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Friday (yesterday) evening. They were received at the Ibom International Airport by NFF Deputy General Secretary, Emmanuel Ikpeme, and protocol officer, Emmanuel Ayanbunmi.

Footballlive.ng also reported that the Fennecs came with their own kind of cuisine; leaving nothing to chance for the much anticipated game. The Algeria contingent of players, coaches and fans arrived their hotel where they’ll camp on Thursday about 6:45pm with some of the members of Georges Leekens players looking fatigued.

No member of the Algerian contingent granted interviews as small crowds of journalists swarm the arriving team at the hotel entrance.
