Eagles Need To Recall Enyeama To Pick World Cup Ticket - Ikpeba
Former Super Eagles star, Victor Ikpeba, has declared that, with what happened in the goalkeeping department of the Super Eagles in the last group game against the Desert Foxes of Algeria, where stand-in goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, fumbled through the match which he replaced team’s number one choice keeper, Carl Ikeme who was injured.
Ikpeba noted that, there is the urgent need to recall Vincent Enyeama who was forced into retirement during the controversial era of Sunday Oliseh as Eagles coach.
“Enyeama, left the Eagles in anger when he was not given due respect by the former coach, but now, except we want to pretend as if all is well, there is a problem in the Eagles goalkeeping department. It will be unwise to continue to gamble with goalkeepers who are jittery in crucial games.
“The need for Enyeama’s return came to the fore when Ikeme was ruled out of the match against Algeria.
The truth of the matter is that, we need our best hands to help us pick a World Cup ticket, that is why Enyeama is urgently needed to work side-by-side with Carl Ikeme.”
