Mourinho Underrated Moses - Conte

Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte has taken a swipe on his predecessor Jose Mourinho for underestimating the immense contributions of Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses.

The 25-year-old has thrived in his new position as a wing-back after Conte switched to a 3-4-3 formation, and since doing so, the Blues have won their last six Premier League games without conceding a goal.

Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012 but was sent out on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United during Mourinho’s reign, which ended in December last year.

“I could see his potential from the first days of the summer training camp,” the Italian coach told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Moses has important qualities: technique, physical strength, the ability to cover 70m of the pitch. “I find it incredible that someone like him has been underestimated.”

Chelsea are currently at the top of the league table, with just three points separating first and fourth.
