Olisa Metuh Collapses 2 Days To His Trial, Rushed To Hospital
Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, is on admission at the National Hospital Abuja again, after he collapsed during church service on Sunday.
His lawyer, Mr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), told a Federal High Court in Abuja today that Metuh was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed while rising to sing in his church in Abuja on Sunday.
All these months, he was flexing. Two days to his trial, he collapsed. Interesting!
The lawyer told the trial judge, Justice Okon Abang this while giving reasons for the absence of Metuh from court, where the ex-spokesperson for the PDP is being prosecuted along with his company, Destra Investment Ltd, for offences relating to transactions of N400m and $2million.
The EFCC is prosecuting Metuh and Destra Investment Limited on seven counts, including fraud involving N400m which he allegedly received from the Office of the National Security Adviser without any justification.
Metuh's lawyer was unable to provide a medical report to back his claim.
