Beautiful University Student Killed For "Rituals"


The killers of Miss Rofiat Adebisi will not go unpunished. An Osun state Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo has ordered that a driver, Elijah Oyebode and one Yusuf Ajibade, be remanded in Ilesa Prison for allegedly killing the 400-level student of the Osun State University.


The two accused, who were arraigned by the police on Tuesday, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and unlawfully receiving an iPhone 5 belonging to the lady.

The police prosecutor, Mr. Mireti Wilson, told the court that the accused and other suspects currently at large committed the offence on December 23, 2016, at Egbeda in Iragbiji, Osun State.

The prosecutor said Oyebode, 22, and his accomplices [Baba] killed the female student, while Ajibade received the phone of the deceased valued at N100,000 from the alleged killers.

The charges read, “That you, Elijah Oyebode, and Yusuf Ajibade, and others now at large, on December 23, 2016, in the Egbeda-Iragbiji area, in the Iragbiji Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: murder...

“That you, Elijah Oyebode, and others now at large, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned magisterial district, did kill one Rofiat Damilola Adebisi, a student of the Osun State University, thereby committing an offence...

“That you, Yusuf Ajibade, did unlawfully receive one Apple iPhone 5, valued at N100,000, from one Elijah Oyebode, knowing same to have been stolen..."

Oyebode was represented in court by a female lawyer, Mrs. P.O. Ofoyeju, while another woman, Mrs. Bola Adeyinka, represented Ajibade.

However, their pleas of the accused were not taken.

The presiding magistrate, Olusola Aluko, ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesha Prison, while the Investigating Police Officer in the case should duplicate the case file and send same to the Department of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

The case was thus transferred to Court 4 and adjourned till March 31, 2017
