Ndidi Not For Sale - Shakespeare

Leicester City Manager Craig Shakespeare has insisted that Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is going nowhere. The 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder who scored a stunning goal against Stoke on Saturday is being watched by other clubs who may try to poach him away from the King Power Stadium this summer. But Shakespeare said he was sure Ndidi, who signed a five-and-a-half year contract, would be a Leicester player for a long time.

“I have no problem with speculation. We can do nothing about that,” said Shakespeare. “It is a credit to him, in terms of the way he has performed, but also the way he is. “He is a very good professional, very mature head on his shoulders. “Of course, there can always be bids, we can always turn them down. But football is football, you’ll always get bids for good players. “He’s grown into it,” said Shakespeare. “Because of his age I’m reluctant to put too much expectation on him. He’s only 20 but looks tailor-made for the EPL.”
