Police Arrested Three Suspected Armed Robbers, Recovered Three Guns

The Police in Apo have arrested three suspected armed robbers and recovered two locally made pistols, two live cartridges, a toy gun and other exhibits.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, who made this known during a security briefing last Friday said the policemen intercepted the suspects while responding to a distress call. 

He said two locally made pistols and other exhibits were also recovered while efforts were intensified to arrest the principal suspect who is at large. 

CP Kimo in a statement signed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, was quoted to have said policemen from Bwari also arrested a suspected criminal in Garam. 

He said all the suspects would be transferred to the command’s criminal investigation department for discreet investigation and possible prosecution. 

The commissioner of police sent a warning to criminals still hanging around the territory to either repent and handover their weapons or be prepared for a hard time as the command has deployed adequate security measures to get them out of circulation. 

He commended the officers for their dedication, resilience and professionalism and reiterated the commitment of the police to fulfilling its duty of protecting lives and property.
