Real Madrid Without Bale, Lewandowski Back For Bayern Munich

Real Madrid will be without Gareth Bale but Bayern Munich welcome back Robert Lewandowski for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Bernabeu.

Wales forward Bale is out because of an ankle problem he picked up in Real's 2-1 win in the first leg last week.

Lewandowski, who has scored 38 goals in 40 games for Bayern this season, has recovered from a shoulder injury.

The Poland striker has not played since 8 April.

Robert Lewandowski said he "felt fine" after returning to training on Sunday

Bale has struggled with injuries this season, having missed three months earlier in the campaign because of ligament damage in his right ankle.

"When he came back he was desperate to be involved and now he has a small niggle that is preventing him from being fully fit," Real coach Zinedine Zidane said.

"I hope it is nothing and in a few days he can be with us again."

Bale's latest injury could rule him out of Sunday's La Liga match with Barcelona.

"I hope he will be with us, but we have to wait and see," Zidane added. "It is a question of taking it day by day."
