Report: Sanchez Eyeing Blues Summer Move
There are strong indications that Alexis Sanchez has made up his mind to join Chelsea in the summer despite opposition to such switch to city rivals from the Gunners.
Arsenal’s star man still has just over a year remaining on his contract with no agreement over an extension reached.
As a result, the Gunners currently face the prospect of selling in the summer or making Sanchez stay until his deal runs out.
A host of clubs are interested in him, with Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Chinese Super League sides and Chelsea all in the running.
And according to The Telegraph, Arsenal’s London rivals are now his biggest desire for a summer switch.
Over the past week, Chelsea have become Sanchez’s priority as he apparently sees Antonio Conte as the perfect manager to work with.
Arsene Wenger does not want to sell the 28-year-old to a Premier League rival, with a move abroad preferred.
That means Alexis Sanchez may have to try and force through a transfer to Chelsea, causing an ugly saga.
Chelsea believe personal terms won’t be an issue in agreeing a deal and they are optimistic of landing the ex-Barcelona forward.
However, Arsenal could make Sanchez stay even if he no longer wants to play for the club.
Everton hitman and former Blues striker Romelu Lukaku remains a target too, and signing both players has not been ruled out at Stamford Bridge.
Sanchez recently outlined he wishes to be at a club with a winning mentality and is settled in London, hinting a move to Chelsea is his ultimate goal.
Further reports suggested talks with Sanchez’s representatives over signing the Arsenal ace have begun with Chelsea and PSG.
