'Tinsel' Season 9 Episode 2013 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 11 April 2017

Brenda asks Zane if Serena killed her husband.
Zane says it's what she told him.
Brenda says it's a tall tale as it's Serena.
Zane says he could see the fear in her eyes and he understands because the police and Chief's people are after her.
Brenda asks if he plans to keep hiding her.
Zane says she is the mother of his child.
Brenda asks what he would do.
He tells her to leave it to him and trust him.
She says her trust won't come so easily this time.
He says he's willing to do what it takes to win it back, if she would let him.

Telema is at home, on the phone with Peju.
She begs to be granted a few minutes on the show to refute the ponzi scheme rumours.
Peju asks if she can come to the studio right away.

Telema hangs up and tells Bimpe she has to hurry to Peju.
Bimpe is sitting on the couch with her head on a throwpillow placed on her lap.
Telema asks if she will be okay
Bimpe says she's fine.

Tsav and his lawyer are alone.
She tells him not to say anything to anyone.
He asks what her plans are to keep him away from jail.
She says the police may want to cut a deal.
He says cutting deals is for guilty people.
She asks if he's innocent.
He says she hasn't even asked him anything and she already thinks he's guilty.
She says her perception of his guilt or innocence is irrelevant but she will give him the best defense he can get.
She tells him not to communicate with anyone like the police, family and other detainees.

Christy tells Sankey that she has a bad feeling about the lawyer who came to defend Tsav.
Sankey says she's as cocky as they come.
Christy says she looks the sort that will delay the case.
She asks Sankey why she doesn't look excited about Tsav being in custody.
Sankey says her mind is preoccupied.
She asks what the status of the Yaya deal she made is.
Christy says it's in the pipeline.
She thanks Sankey for helping with Tsav's capture.

Charles is at work, on the phone with Tolu.

He says he needs someone to take on the role of general manager and if Tolu knows anyone, he can refer them.

Mimi walks in and Charles tells Tolu he would call back.

Mimi says she's sorry about the recent events and didn't mean to undermine his authority and she would have him if he would have her.
He doesn't respond.
She gets up to leave.
He tells her he wants to grab dinner after work and would like to know if she would be interested.
She nods and smiles.

Peju introduces Telema on her show as one being in the middle of a ponzi scheme.
Telema corrects that she's not in the middle of a ponzi scheme but a victim of a malicious smear campaign.
She addresses the people who donated the money to her and says all the money has been put into the project.
Peju asks why she hasn't refunded the money like she promised.
Telema says she only promised to refund if she didn't start production within a week of receiving the money but she has started and can show Peju proof.
Peju says Telema doesn't seem to know what she's doing.
Telema says the fact that her creative choices are being questioned doesn't mean she misappropriated funds.

Nero is still at Sheila's place.

Amaka and Dikibo return.
Amaka is clearly not happy to see Nero there.
She asks what he's doing there.
He says he came to thank Sheila for her help in getting Tsav arrested and if not for her, it wouldn't have been possible.
Amaka stops him saying she gets it; listening to him would make one think Sheila single handedly hunted and arrested Tsav.
Dikibo stares at her.
There is an awkward silence.
Dikibo asks Sheila how Tsav was arrested.
Sheila says it's a long story.
Dikibo says they have the time to listen.
Amaka looks from Sheila to Nero.

Zane comes to the hotel room.
Serena says she's sorry and didn't mean to cause any trouble.
Zane tells her it's time to go.
She asks where.
He says he made arrangements to get her a place in a neighbouring state.
She asks what happens if she refuses to go.
He says he will be done with her and won't pay hotel bills or give her any further allowance or protection.
She goes on her knees, pleading with him.
He says she has 48 hours to take the offer.
He walks out, leaving her on the floor.

Maro is at Ziggy’s.
Frank asks if she's Maro.
She confirms.
Frank hands her a note form Tolu.
She reads and calls him a bastard for breaking up with her in a note.

Frank asks what she would like to drink.
Maro asks if it's a crime to be honest; she told a guy she's not ready for marriage and thought that's what guys love.
Frank looks confused.
She asks why he's not saying anything.
He says it's a case or two people wanting different things and it's probably better this way.

Tsav's lawyer is on the set of Peju' show.
Peju asks why she wants to represent a man like Tsav.
The lawyer says she believes everyone should be given a fair trial.
Peju asks why Tsav gets a chance when he didn't give one to the countless people he killed.
The lawyer says she understands people are emotional about the case.
Peju says one of the brightest film makers of the country was murdered by Tsav.
The lawyer says 'allegedly'.
Peju scoffs and says her colleague Harriet too and others.
The lawyer says she sympathises with the bereaved but the truth will come out eventually when Tsav has his day in court.
Peju asks if it's in spite of the video circulating already.
The lawyer says in spite of the doctored video.
Peju asks what she would say to the victims of the shooting.
The lawyer says she will express Tsav's deepest sympathies but will also let them know that taking a man's life will not bring back the dead especially when the man is innocent.
Peju asks for her closing remarks.
The lawyer says a lot of people will be shocked by the things that will come to light during the trial.

Peju wraps up the show.
The lawyer says she would be expecting Peju's call.
Peju asks why she would call.
The lawyer says she's sure Peju would like to know how she did it when Tsav is acquitted.

Telema is back home.
Bimpe says she likes the way Telema handled the people who called to accuse her on Peju's show.

The FCA agent calls Telema to say he caught the show on TV but she should do herself a favour by returning all the money because anything short of that will land her in jail.
Telema is stunned.
He says a beauty queen like her won't last long in the prison system.

Brenda returns home and meets Alexis in the living room.
Alexis apologises to Brenda on behalf of her mummy and daddy.
Brenda says all is forgiven.
She tells her to wrote an English composition.
Alexis asks what she would write about.
Brenda says she should write about where she grew up, the people she grew up with like her parents, her friends, Chief and even her school address.
Alexis says okay.
Brenda says she has a prize for her afterwards.

At Sheila's place, Peju's show is on TV.
Peju announces that Tsav will be arraigned in court by the end of the week.
She calls Tsav a monster that has caused many families pain and grief.
Sheila says she can't watch anymore.
Nero holds her hand and says it's not her fault.
Amaka is livid but tries not to show her anger.

Sheila stands to leave for her bedroom,
She orders Cosmo to serve everyone drinks.

Amaka follows her and asks her what's wrong with her.
Sheila is confused.
Amaka says her siblings are in jail yet she has enough time to flirt.
Sheila looks shocked then looks at Nero.

She tells Amaka it's not what she thinks.
Amaka looks like she doesn't believe her, then goes back to sit.
Sheila wears a smirk as she leaves.

Dikibo asks Amaka if everything is okay.
Amaka says she and Sheila were just catching up.

She turns to give Nero an evil look.
Nero doesn't look in her direction but there is a slight trace of a smirk on his face, even as he looks bored.
