'Tinsel' Season 9 Episode 2020 Recap - Aired: Thursday 20 April 2017
The housing agent has come to see Chuks.
Chuks tells him to look into the issue with the kitchen floor because it's a fire hazard.
The agent asks if that's the emergency Chuks called him for, it's not his business.
Chuks says the electrician he brought said it's a problem with the cables under the tiles.
The agent says Chuks brought people to change the tiles in the kitchen and they probably messed with the cables.
Chuks asks if he's now blaming him.
The agent stands up to leave.
He warns Chuks not to bother him with fake emergencies again.
Brenda calls Sankey to tell her Serena's life is in danger.
Sankey asks who she is.
Brenda says she's the mother of Zane's daughter.
Sankey asks why Brenda is concerned.
Brenda says because she's a human being, what sort of question is that?
Sankey says sorry.
Brenda says there's a dangerous man on the way to her hotel.
Sankey asks who he is.
Brenda says it will be answered later but she needs to act fast.
Sankey asks for the address of the hotel.
Ene meets Chuks in the living room.
She asks what he's doing at home.
Chuks tells her how his meeting with the agent went and says the electrician said he can't do anything till they break the floor.
Ene asks who will pay for all the expenses.
He says he's wondering the same thing.
She says well she has no job so it doesn't concern her.
He asks if they didn't pay her for the month.
She says she got half salary and it's only for feeding.
He asks if she doesn't have any savings.
She says she will not touch her savings and he knows it.
He says she was the one who wanted to change the tiles.
She tells him he's the man, so he should take care of it.
The judge finds Tsav Guardia guilty and says the court will not derail from the provision of the law in it's sentencing.
Tsav Guardia is sentenced to death. He will be hanged by the neck.
Tsav shakes his head and blinks a hundred times in disbelief.
His lawyer looks just as shocked.
Sankey is on the phone with her officer, ordering him to go to Serena's rescue.
Christy enters and asks if she heard the news.
Sankey says Tsav got sentenced to death.
Christy says she doesn't sound happy
Sankey says the state got what they wanted.
Christy says it's the best outcome.
Sankey congratulates her on her promotion.
Christy says she put in a recommendation for her.
Sankey gives a crisp 'Thank you'.
Christy tries to cheer her up by saying the state hasn't gone through with any death sentence in a very long time, so Tsav may just be in jail for the rest of his life.
Sankey's mood doesn't lift.
Mimi is at the reception with Nnenna.
Nnenna says she's so sorry.
Mimi says her interview went very well.
Nnenna says the outcome is just rubbish.
Mimi says the other guy, Jonathan, will be the new GM except Nnenna stops him.
Nnenna asks how.
Mimi says Nnenna is smart and can think of something.
Nnenna starts thinking of what to do.
Mimi tells her to do something for them, Jonathan cannot see Charles without stopping at Nnenna's desk, so she can make sure the next appointment with Charles never happens.
Bimpe and Telema are home.
Ene comes to visit.
She tells them to make sure when they get married, their husbands don't make decisions concerning their careers.
Telema asks what happened.
Ene tells them about the floor cables and tiles.
Bimpe asks what the problem is.
Ene says Chuks wants her to pay for breaking the floor.
Telema says she's out of a job.
Bimpe asks if it's expensive.
Ene says that's besides the point, Chuks is the one working, so he should bring out the money.
Bimpe points out that they are talking about the possibility of a fire outbreak.
Telema agrees.
Ene says Chuks should act fast then.
Bimpe tells Ene that this matter is not the one they use to fight husband and wife fight.
Ene says Bimpe has never been married, so she wouldn't understand.
Bimpe seals her lips.
Telema says she understands where Ene is coming from because Kayode can be like that too.
In Sheila's house, St John, Freddie. Sheila, Joanne and Laide are watching the news, read by Peju.
Peju gleefully announces that Tsav has been sentenced to death.
Laide turns the TV off and says Peju should at least try to stop sounding happy about it.
Sheila says she's doing her job.
St. John says Laide is right.
Freddie asks Sheila if they are really going to kill Tsav and if Tsav was always this bad.
Sheila says she doesn't believe anyone was born bad but she believes it may have started by making one weird decision after the other, he had weaknesses that made him a bit of a monster and it's the monster bit he's paying for and there's nothing anybody can do to change that.
Zane comes to Brenda's house.
He meets John who says he doesn't know where she is.. maybe the office.
Zane says he already called and she's not there.
He tells him to tell get her to call him as soon as she gets back.
The new GM to be, Jonathan, comes to Odyssey.
Nnenna tells him to wait because Charles is in a meeting.
He sits.
She gets a call from her friend and starts talking loudly about Odyssey owing them for 5 months and one can't even complain because you will get fired.
Jonathan is listening.
Nnenna says it's the same Odyssey that they came to shoot guns and they put a finger in their GM's office.
She turns to Jonathan and says she's sorry, she will get Charles.
Jonathan tells her she doesn't need to, he will come back.
He walks out.
Laide comes to see Amaka at home.
She gives her a hug..
Amaka says she really needed it.
Laide asks how she feels.
Amaka says she and Tsav have come a long way, no matter how turbulent their relationship has been.
Laide says she's having mixed feelings, just like Sheila.
Amaka says Sheila would feel worse, he's her brother and Tsav just threw his life away.
Laide asks why Dikibo is not with her.
Amaka says she didn't want to see him because he doesn't like Tsav and she doesn't want to see him happy.
Laide says she should leave him to feel how he wants.
Dikibo knocks on the door and comes in.
He says he's been calling Amaka.
Amaka says she wanted to be alone.
He says he's sorry Tsav has to exit the stage this way but he won't let her deal with it alone.
He gives her a hug.
Salewa and friends are standing on the side of the road, all dolled up.
Helen complains that Sho should have allowed them eat at the wedding at least.
Sho says they don't the seem to understand the word pride.
Salewa says there's no pride when it comes to party jollof rice
Sho says she will take them to Ziggy’s.
Salewa says they eat at Ziggy’s every day.
Helen asks why Sho doesn't call her boyfriend Derek to come and pick them.
Sho says his phone has been switched off.
She suggests they take a selfie.
After the selfies, she receives a text from Derek asking for directions to the wedding.
She suggests they just wait around for him to come and meet them.
Serena is lying next to Alexis on the bed.
She says she knows Alexis spoke up for her because she was tired of seeing people treat her bad but she needs to let adults handle their business.
Alexis says she's sorry.
Serena makes her promise not to do it again.
She says Alexis reminds her of herself when she was younger, she always stood up for herself.
There is a knock on the door.
Serena bounds towards it in excitement, saying it must be Zane.
She opens the door and sees Chief.
She tries to shut the it but he pushes his way in.
Serena runs to hold Alexis on the bed.
Chief asks Serena why she's doing this to him.
Serena and Alexis cower in fear.
Chief barks 'Why?!'.
Yaya is at home, grieving.
Sheila comes to see her.
Yaya asks what she wants.
Sheila says she wants a conversation.
Yaya says they have nothing to say anymore.
Sheila says she's being a bit extreme.
Yaya says their brother is going to get killed because of Sheila.
Sheila says it's not because of her, she had to get involved as they were in danger from Alhaji.
Yaya asks if she wants to now blame Alhaji.
Sheila asks if she has forgotten the number of people who died at the wedding.
Yaya says she knows but Tsav getting killed won't bring any back.
Sheila asks if she's always going to blame her.
Yaya says she is and she's also going to hurt Sheila so bad, the same way Sheila hurt every single member of their family.
Sheila tells her not to be that person, it's not who she is.
Yaya opens the door and says she will do whatever she wants with her life but Sheila has to get out of her house.
Sheila leaves.
