'Tinsel' Season 9 Episode 2022 Recap - Aired: Monday 24 April 2017

Bimpe comes to Soji's studio to see Shina.
He asks why she's still angry at him.
She says she's no longer angry at him, she doesn't like the decision he made but she loves him.
He asks if she is cool with the decision he made.
She says they wasted a lot of money sending him to school but she has to support him.
He gives her a hug and assures her that he would not disappoint her.

The Ade-Williams' lawyer is at Sheila's.
She tells him that they had a deal with the police about Tsav pleading guilty so the prosecution doesn't go for the death penalty.
The lawyer says the officers that made the deal didn't have the authority to do so and with the number of victims' families baying for Tsav's blood, even the judge was under pressure.
She asks if they will hang him.
He says they will appeal but even at that, he will be on death row for a number of years.

Sheila says she set the trap for him thinking she was saving his life and she put Yaya through all that for nothing.
The lawyer tells her she did what she thought was best.
He says he will try and overturn the death sentence to a life sentence.
Sheila says she wants to meet with the families of the victims for one last time.
He says he doesn't want her to say anything that will become a liability.

Bimpe is at work with Damini.
He talks to her about an actress, Tomi Ajayi.

Telema comes in.
Bimpe says it's good she came to visit.
Telema says she also came to talk business, she wants to see if the offer to finance her movie is still on the table.
Damini asks if she remembers she ripped up her contract.
Telema says maybe she was a little hasty back then but things are different now, plus it's no longer Kayode's money so there will be no sentimental attachment.

Damini smiles but looks very uncomfortable.

Brenda comes home with Serena and Alexis.
She tells John to get them drinks and snacks.

Alexis asks Serena what if Chief comes to find her there.
Serena says it can't happen as he doesn't know Brenda.
Brenda says it's over and they should just put it behind them.
Serena tells Alexis that if Chief finds them there, Daddy's and Aunty Brenda will keep them safe.
Brenda suggests Alexis goes to lie down and relax.
Serena takes her to the bedroom.

Brenda makes a phone call but there is no response.
Serena comes back and says she tried calling Zane but got no response.
Brenda says she's sure he would turn up soon.
Serena says he's upset.
Brenda says he just needs time to let off steam.
Serena says Chief was going to kill her in front or her daughter and she doesn't even know how he found her in her hotel room.
She hugs Brenda.
Brenda says it will be fine but her face is a picture of the guilt she feels.

John serves Serena tea.
Serena says she wants something stronger, like vodka.
John says there is no alcohol in the house.
Serena asks Brenda if she doesn't drink.
Brenda asks her why Sid is desperate to find her.
Serena says he's an obsessed psycho.
Brenda asks if she's sure she didn't steal from him.
Serena says she almost wishes she did because she would have enough money to leave the country.
Brenda asks why he's obsessed with her.
Serena asks how she should know.
She says Brenda doesn't know how many times she tried to get away from him but all Zane can think of now is how she's upsetting his life.
Brenda asks if Chief has always been abusive.
Serena says she can show her the scars but he was always careful not to hit her where it will show because he's a respectable man in the society.
Brenda asks if he hit Alexis.
Serena says only a few times but she was careful to try and keep her out of the way and Alexis didn't get to see the worst of it all, that's why she's good with makeup to hide the scars when Chief got careless.
Brenda says she was living in a nightmare.
Serena says Alexis got to see chief in all of his glory today and she's worried about her.
Brenda says Alexis would be fine as they would get her therapy if they need to.
Serena says in spite of all she did to get away from Chief, he still found her.

Yaya comes to see Tsav in prison.
He is brought in, wearing his prisoner's uniform.
She gives him a hug and asks how he's holding up.
He says he's alive for now.
She assures him that he won't die.
He says it will be fine.
She tells him that they will get a better lawyer and won't let him die.
He says he died a long time ago, long before he grabbed the gun and stopped Amaka's wedding, he couldn't bear to see her with that old man but didn't mean to hurt anyone.
Yaya says it's not fair.
He says he shot his gun a couple of times and even if the bullet ricocheted, how could so many people have died from his gun?
Yaya says the security was shooting at him and probably killed people, now he's paying for it; the only thing he's guilty of is being stupid enough to go and disrupt Amaka's wedding, the way she looked at him... anyways it doesn't matter anymore, nothing else matters.
She asks if he's saying he won't fight.
He says he needs her to take a message to Amaka for him.

Telema tells Damini that they can make a documentary on what she has been through trying to make her movie, Cotton Candy.
Bimpe says it'hs a great idea.
Telema looks at her as if she's gone crazy.
Bimpe asks Damini if they can do it.
Damini says maybe.
Bimpe says it will be great, a film and a documentary.

Damini tells her to wait.
He tells Telema that they have a lot on their plate now so they need to take some time to review all the projects they have and get back to her on whether they can do the film.
Bimpe says they don't have a lot of projects.
Damini says there is a lot in the pipeline he was going to tell her about.
Telema asks when she can get a response.
He says tomorrow.

Bimpe walks Telema out.

Damini calls Kayode and says they need to see.
They arrange to meet at Ziggy’s Bar.

Bimpe returns and asks why he was posting Telema.
He says they have a lot on their plate.

There is a knock on the door and a lady walks in.
She's the Tomi Ajayi he was talking to Bimpe about earlier.
He introduces her to Bimpe.
Bimpe is clearly not a fan.

Sheila comes to see Amaka at home.
She tells her about her plan to visit the families of the victims for closure.
Amaka says she should just let sleeping dogs lie and they shouldn't go reopening old wounds.
Sheila says old wounds will never heal if they don't have closure and the people deserve that.
Amaka says she's sorry she can't be a part of it.
Sheila says she has to understand and respect her decision, her lawyer will be there and so would Nero.
Amaka asks why Nero.
Sheila says they may not want to hear her out but she thinks they would listen to a man who lost his daughter.
Amaka asks to be kept updated.

Brenda sends a text to Zane saying his daughter needs him.
She gets a call from him.
He asks what's wrong with Alexis.
Brenda reminds him that she has been through an ordeal and her father is not there to comfort her.
Zane begs her to tell Alexis he would be with her soon.
Brenda says Serena is also worried.
He asks why she allowed that woman back in her house.
Brenda asks what she should have done
Zane says they need to be careful with her.
Brenda says she did it for Alexis.
Zane says he would see her soon.

Charles is with a client at the Odyssey reception.
The client says he has some films he would like them to work on and he has the documents in his car.
Charles says he would send his receptionist to go with him.
He looks and doesn't see Nnenna at her desk.

Nnenna is in the conference room with Oris.

Charles calls her phone but she doesn't answer.

Charles tells the client that she might be in the bathroom, so he would just go with him to the car instead.

Dikibo is at Amaka's Place.
She tells him Sheila was there earlier and wants to meet with the victims of the families but she told Sheila to count her out.
Dikibo says she doesn't have to be there if she doesn't want to.
Amaka says Nero would be there and she can't imagine why he would want to rehash all this pain.
Dikibo says she really cares about this Nero, doesn't she?
She says he lost a daughter.
He doesn't look like he buys her explanation.

As if an idea just pops into her head, she gets up and picks up her handbag saying she has to quickly get something at the office.
He tells her the office would be closed.
She says she would tell Fumi to wait.
He offers to take her but she tells him to just stay and finish his drink as she won't be long.

Damini and Kayode are at Ziggy’s.
Kayode is laughing at the idea of a documentary about Cotton Candy.
Damini says what's even worse is that Bimpe was cheering her on.
Kayode says Bimpe is always supportive of Telema.
Damini says Telema cannot just show up when she likes and expect that skyscraper will produce her film.
Kayode says it's because he told her his funds are tied up in investments.
Damini asks if she believed him.
Kayode says she should have no reason not to.
He says Damini should get out of producing the film because with Telema's crowd funding scandal, he thinks it's best she lays low for a while.
Damini asks why he didn't just tell her that
Kayode asks if she has ever listened to what he says.

Alexis asks Brenda where her mummy is.
Brenda says she went out for a while.

She holds Alexis and asks what Chief used to do.
Alexis says he used to beat her mummy and he used to lock her up in a cupboard so she doesn't see what's going on.

Zane enters and Alexis runs to him.

Serena returns.

Zane tells her to take Alexis to the car because they are leaving.

Serena takes Alexis out.

Zane tells Brenda he's sorry she had to be dragged into it all.
Brenda says it's fine and tells him to go easy on Serena.
Zane says Serena doesn't deserve her kindness and neither does he.
He hugs her and gives her a kiss before leaving.

Yaya comes to meet Amaka in the office.
Amaka asks when last she spoke to Sheila.
Yaya says she won't speak to someone who tried to use her as bait to condemn her only brother.
Amaka asks what she wanted to see her for.
Yaya says she has a message from Tsav.

Amaka says she doesn't want to hear it, whatever it is.
